BOWEL DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM

Synergistic Bowel Detox Products:

Herbal BulkThe Scrub Brush & Sponge

This product gently scrapes the bowel wall as well as absorbs toxic substances within the bowel. In this way it acts like a scrub brush and sponge.

HMF Super PowderThe Friendly Flora

Many healthcare professionals like myself who practice natural medicine, believe that great health begins in the bowel. If the microbial environment in the intestines is not in balance, it is much more difficult for the rest of the cells in your body to be in harmony with each other and disease and illness ensue. Cancer is an extreme example of how the body cells are no longer in harmony with each other, in part due to an accumulation of toxic wastes.  This easy-to-do bowel detoxification program is crucial for the prevention of many diseases.

Arguably, some would say that great health starts in the mind. In Traditional Chinese medicine, the emotions of grief and worry specifically affect the health of the large intestine. Therefore, how we think and feel play a huge role in the health of the bowels and their ability to eliminate toxins.

The mind influences the health of the body.  The body influences the health of the mind.  To experience fantastic health, both body and mind must work in harmony.

Candidiasis and parasitic infections can be determined by blood and stool tests.  However some stool tests, while quite valuable (see Great Smokies Laboratory ), may be cost prohibitive for many people.

Maintaining a regular regime of bowel detoxification 2 - 3 times yearly whether you have symptoms or not, is common sense wisdom for great health.

Since the gastrointestinal tract has a quick and high-turn over rate of newly-formed cells, dramatic results in health are often seen with the elimination of toxic bowel waste products and the ingestion of high quality nutrients.  This creates a stable foundation and terrain for these newly-formed cells to develop and flourish.

What do I need to do this bowel detoxification?

How do I do this program?

You will finish this bowel detoxification program in 3 weeks.

WEEK 1 & WEEK 2

In the morning, take this 1/2 hour to 1 hour before breakfast.  (Some people get very full after drinking this and prefer to take this mixture later in the morning 2 hours after breakfast)

  • 1 scoop Herbal Bulk (scoop supplied)
  • 1/2 tsp HMF Super Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Scorbatate
  • 8 oz. of unsweetened fruit juice (some people choose to just use water)

Place all of the above ingredients in the glass jar, shake well, and drink immediately.

Follow with 8 oz. of pure water and take 2 of Herbotox Capsules and 2 of Black Walnut Capsules.

Repeat the above 1/2 hour to 1 hour before supper or 2 hours after supper.

WEEK 3

Same as above, except increase the Scorbate to 1 tsp instead of 1/2 tsp.

The increase in this highly buffered vitamin C may create loose stools in some people.  If you experience this, you may wish to cut back the dosage.

WHILE ON THIS PROGRAM

  • Drinking 10 (8 oz.) glasses of purifed water is an absolute must. This does not include juice, coffee, milk, tea or any other beverage (except for ginger tea or peppermint tea).
  • Follow the diet plan suggested in An Exceptionally Healthy Diet. If this is too difficult for you, at least eliminate all sugars including honey, maple syrup, dried fruit, fructose, alcohol, etc.
  • It would be best to also eliminate coffee, vinegar and all white flour products from your diet during this bowel detoxification program.  Do not eat any dairy products or processed foods.  If you eat meat, make sure it is organic.  Consuming 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily would be extremely beneficial.  Typically going wheat-free is highly recommended, however if you want to jump in with 2 feet, then also remove all gluten containing grains as well (i.e. rye, oats, barley, kamut, spelt).
  • Exercise at least 2 - 3 hours per week vigorously enough to break a sweat.  (Check with your medical practitioner first if your fitness level is poor or just do gentle stretching exercises).  Do not take the cleanse right before any vigorous exercising since gastric discomfort may be amplified by doing so.

How often do I do this program?

  • For preventive health, I recommend doing this bowel detoxification program 2 -3 times yearly.
  • For those with severe diseases, you may wish to seek out a naturopathic physician in your area, as you may need much more support than this bowel detoxification program can offer you including intravenous therapies, homeopathic treatments, etc.

What if I become constipated or develop diarrhoea on the program?

FOR CONSTIPATION

  • decrease the dose of Herbal Bulk to 1 scoop daily
  • make sure you are drinking no less than 3 litres of water daily
  • make sure you are getting 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily
  • use Flaxoil and Flaxmeal from the healthfood store:  1 Tbsp organic Flax Oil 2 times daily, 1 Tbsp organic finely ground Flax meal 2 times daily
  • increase the Scorbatate as suggested in WEEK 3

FOR DIARRHOEA

  • cut back the Scorbatate to 1/4 tsp
  • some diarrhoea can be a very helpful sign that unwanted toxins are being evacuated from the body;  this is the whole point of this type of detox program and keeping up your water intake to facilitate this type of elimination is crucial

Who should not do this bowel detoxification?

  • People with acute abdominal pain
  • People with bowel obstruction
  • Pregnant or lactating women
  • People who are experiencing an acute flare-up of inflammatory bowel disease
  • People with hemachromatosis (due to the high vitamin C content)

Anything else I should know?

  • Most people tolerate this bowel detoxification program well. It is common for people to experience mild gastric discomfort, as the garbage removal cells in the intestine gear up for action. If this occurs, drink ginger tea: slice a piece of fresh peeled ginger root, place it in water, bring it to a boil, and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Drink as much as you like.  Peppermint tea may also be helpful.
  • Other detoxification symptoms people may experience include:  bloating, gas, foul stools, mood changes, headaches, body aches to name a few.  However, after the initial dumping of these toxic wastes, many people feel an incredible state of well being and mental clarity.
  • If constipation does not abate and healthy bowel function* does not occur after following the above recommendations, seek out a naturopathic physician in your area for further assistance with your health.

*Healthy bowel function (now that we're on the subject), is noted by 2 or 3 daily bowel movements that are brown (not black, green, yellow, pale or grey), adequately sized (not pencil-thin or pellets), normally formed (not flat), and continuous (not mushy or in pieces). It's surprising how many people do not know this or don't even pay attention to the waste products they are excreting from their body. During a bowel detoxification program, stools may change dramatically in size, shape, colour, odour and frequency while toxins are being excreted.
